CONCHITA WURST

100% feminine

After her talent was revealed at the famous song contest in Austria, the Crazy Horse Paris decided to get in touch with the unusual looking, but oh so beautifully-voiced singer.

The avant-gardist cabaret, house of creative live entertainment, founded in 1951 by Alain Bernardin, welcomed on its acclaimed stage an unconventional, yet highly elegant, ebullient and humorous diva.

In true Crazy Horse style

Between transgression and spirit of independence and in a constantly changing world, the Crazy showcases creativity in all its forms, femininity in all its novelty and grace.

Her act was reminiscent of a painting, as the other dancers on stage with Conchita, wearing little more than fake beards, turned around to face the audience.

Mischievous and provocative, in true Crazy Horse style!

An illustrious artistic team for a so very Crazy Show

To create four brand new numbers especially for Conchita Wurst, Andrée Deissenberg called on an exceptional artistic team.

Direction and choreography were entrusted to Bianca Li, Spanish dancer, choreographer and film director, renowned for her large range of physical forms of expression.

Costumes were designed by Jean-Paul Gaultier and shoes by Christian Louboutin, highly acclaimed shoemaker of the stars and a longstanding Crazy Horse regular.

The revue’s official poster was conceived by the artistic duo, Pierre et Gilles.

“Paris is the city of love, synonymous with sensuality and extraordinary women. The Crazy Horse epitomizes these values. I’m delighted to be able to incarnate sublime and sensual femininity and have the opportunity to experience such a glamorous and amazing adventure. Being on stage here is truly a dream come true”
