After this surprise-filled and immersive experience, you will see the show through the eyes of an insider. It’s now up to you to keep these secrets to yourself…
Another hour and a half before the curtain is drawn. The Crazy Experience is about to start with one of the iconic dancer. Surprises galore: Ring ring, that phone booth intrigues you! Peek-a-boo, this peeping wall is hiding hitherto unseen videos! Your curiosity piqued, you dive into the vibrant and crimson atmosphere of the small venue. From the lip-shaped seats, to the private Lova-Lova and Rita Cadillac alcoves, or the Polly Underground bar, your imagination will abound with the history of the most glamorous cabaret of the French capital.
You will savor the opportunity to have the entire place all to yourself for this very special moment. During your visit your special guide will reveal everything you’ve always wanted to know: what a day in the life of a dancer looks like, how they are recruited, how big the stage is, if the dancers can see the audience during the show… you’ll see, she’s passionate about sharing “her” Crazy Horse with you!
Mika Do, dancer: “The Crazy Experience is an original way of connecting us to the audience and of unleashing its imagination before the show.”
Hidden from view behind the bar, a door leads backstage where delicious amuse-bouches and exceptional champagne await! You are in the former office of the Crazy Horse’s founder, the “Salon Bernardin”, covered in mirrors, red velvet and echoes from the past. It is here that the most emblematic acts were conceived and legends crossed paths.
The show starts in fifteen minutes! It’s time for your special guide to vanish from sight, only to reappear again later on stage. In a moment, in an instant, she will be there, dressed in light… will you be able to recognize her? In the meantime, you will be brought to your VIP seat where a half bottle of champagne awaits. Your mind replete with golden bubbles and giddy musings, it’s time for the "Totally Crazy" show to begin!
Svetlana Konstantinova, stage and production manager: “The Crazy Experience provides depth and understanding. Those who have experienced it will see the show with completely new eyes!”

"This time, I had the unique opportunity to photograph the backstage of Crazy Horse Paris. An experience that offered an entirely new perspective of the show. I was particularly intrigued to witness the performance from behind the scenes, observing not only the precision and fluidity with which everyone worked, from technicians to dancers, but also the remarkably warm and welcoming atmosphere." explain Daria Troitskaia.
In May, she spent 3 days with the Crazy girls as they rehearsed the new act “Vertiges”.
Italy-based photographer, Daria Troitskaia, was born in Saint Petersburg and educated in Vienna. Her passion for art was an undeniable source of inspiration from the start. After taking courses in art and photography, she moved to Malta and later to Milan. It became a turning point that transformed Daria’s passion for photography into a vocation.
Her artistic journey is defined by four integral components — continuous movement, a sense of adventure, self-challenges, and a unique perspective. Daria's photographs are never static. They always retain a sense of movement and vitality. Every picture has a story to tell. There are many such stories in Daria's photography book Maltese Exposures (2020).

It’s definitely what happened to our last two recruits, Sofiia and Piper, when they premiered in the show “Totally Crazy” last week, after months of intense rehearsal. As tradition wants at Crazy Horse Paris, the new dancers received their Crazy stage names on the evening of their first public appearance.
Welcome: Sunny Rockstar and Gypsy Jane ! With such stage names, no doubt, their future will be bright!
Did you know? More than 800 Crazy Girls have performed on the illustrious, highly regarded and celebrated stage.
After Uma Wanderlust, Elvie Varsovie, Santa Stiletto and Leni Panorama this summer, we are happy to introduce you to Sofia and Piper, our last two new recruits, currently in intensive training at Crazy Horse Paris. Sofia is from Ukraine and Piper is from Australia. They dreamed of joining Crazy Horse Paris: it’s done today, give them a warm welcome!
It's a Crazy tradition: their name will be given on the night of their first public appearance. See you in a few weeks to find out!
Andrée Deissenberg, General Director of Creation and Brands: “Philippe Decouflé has a unique ability to combine dance with technology to create acts that provoke strong and unusual emotions. Every collaboration with Philippe over the last fifteen years has led us to explore previously unknown facets of Crazy Horse Paris. With 'Vertiges', we are undoubtedly getting a taste of what the future will be at Crazy Horse Paris.
Philippe Decouflé: “I love creating at Crazy Horse Paris. I love working with the intimate stage, the dancers’ talent, the House’s history and unique visual codes... and I like to challenge it all, to push against the very limits of creation and rediscover the possibilities of form. For “Vertiges”, I was able to pursue an artistic exploration of nudity and light, where each movement becomes a living work of art in perpetual transformation.”
How can you describe your experience at Crazy Horse Paris?
My 5 years here were “out-of-this-world”! You can’t even put into words this experience or what it is like to express yourself within the Crazy Horse Paris’ environment and stage! It’s a completely different world here: it’s so unique, touching, empowering and powerful! My career shapes the women I am today… and for the rest of my life! As we say, “Once a Crazy Girl, always a Crazy Girl”, and I fully believe that!
What is your best memory here?
There are so many! We had some great times with the Crazy Girls backstage: every night there are funny things happening and I met incredible friends. But probably, one of the best memories is having the opportunity to dance the act “… But I Am a Good Girl”, I will never forget the moment I found out I was on the rehearsal schedule to learn it. It’s my favorite solo and that’s why I wanted to join the cabaret!
What is the main lesson you learnt here as a dancer?
To have fun! When I first arrived, I was very nervous, it is such an iconic company! But I think, you can work hard, strive for the best and still enjoy every moment and put fun in the priority. It is why we dance; it is because we love it!
What are you going to miss the most?
I will miss the fun that we have backstage for sure! But also, working daily with some incredible and inspiring people. But most of all, I will miss dancing my favorite one “… But I Am a Good Girl”!
What are you plans?
To keep being Crazy! I have dreams and goals I want to reach, and how I reach them it is part of the journey. I love the adventure: I would like to continue travelling the world. And I want to spend more time with my family and friends as it’s been a long time away.
To finish, I want to thank everyone, who have been a big part of this amazing journey!

“This series, captured using film cameras, is about raw dance — since it was a rehearsal, there were no costumes, just pure dance and the effort to make it perfect. The task was particularly challenging due to the lighting conditions, alternating between light to dark, making it difficult to capture the perfect shot. However, these lighting conditions also made the experience incredibly interesting and rewarding. The dynamic environment pushed me to adapt quickly and find creative solutions. This experience was one of the best of my career.”
What do you remember about the first time you went on stage at Crazy Horse Paris on August 4th, 2011?
My memories are bit hazy… but I was mainly just really excited to get on stage. The two months of training seemed to last forever! Finally, when the time came, the night before the premiere I had nightmares where I didn’t have the right costumes or the right color wig!
What is your best memory of Crazy Horse Paris?
There are so many, it’s hard to choose! First, I would say the tours. It has been incredible to travel the world doing what I am passionate about! Then I would say it’s having had the opportunity to meet celebrities like Dita Von Teese, Cara Delevingne and Johnny Depp. These artists came to see me after the show and complimented my performance. Coming from them, that’s a huge compliment!
Do you have an anecdote that you can share with us?
When I arrived at Crazy Horse Paris, I fell in love with a number called “Chain Gang”. After one year with the troupe, I found out I was on the rehearsal schedule to learn this solo. I was so happy to be able to perform it on stage so quickly!
How do you feel about this chapter coming to an end?
Although I am at ease with my decision to end my career at Crazy Horse Paris, I still feel a whole range of emotions that vacillate between euphoria and nostalgia… I’m taking lots of pictures with the other dancers to make sure we capture out last moments together. Above all, I’m making the absolute most of my time on stage!
What are your plans for the future?
3 years ago, my husband and I opened a cocktail bar in London called “Mrs. Riot”. We will continue to expand the business with live music and drag queen shows, so in a sense I am still working in the arts. I’ve also been training in yoga and aromatherapy. I want to pass on my experience to other women through well-being, and who knows, maybe even start a podcast!
As is the tradition at Crazy Horse Paris, a “tribute” show is be held in her honor on 16 September at 22:30. Come and show your support and congratulate her on her incredible career!

In September 2004, you joined Crazy Horse Paris...
I remember it like it was yesterday! At first, I didn’t want to audition because I didn't know much about Crazy Horse Paris. My background was in ballet, and the conventions of cabaret seemed so different from my initial training. Then one day, when I was on a dance contract, I met a former Crazy Girl named Tally Yesterday. She told me that I met all the criteria for joining the troupe. My instinct was to give it a try...and so here I still am, 20 years later!
How have you changed over the years at Crazy Horse Paris?
The more my career advances, the freer I feel on stage. I’ve been lucky enough to get solos at the right times, and each time, I never expected it! For me, every new learning experience is revitalizing and motivating. In my daily practice, I like to try out new things for some of the numbers that I've been doing on stage for a while. With dance, there's always something new to learn! I'm still discovering new aspects of myself and appreciate that each show is a new challenge and a shared experience with the audience. These days, I’m really enjoying passing on my knowledge to new dancers and supporting them.
Can you share some of your best memories?
I have experienced so much here! I’ve been lucky to have some incredible experiences during the many trips and tours we’ve done. But for me, the best memories are those that I associate with the adrenaline rush that comes with every new show or number. I also have wonderful memories of my incredible encounters with guests… and the atmosphere backstage of course!
What are your plans for the future?
I want to share and pass on my experience. My motto: kindness!

From behind the scenes, two protagonists of this exceptional project tell us more about their experience:
Ginger Knockout, dancer : "Working on Emily in Paris was such a great experience! It was so much fun and such an honor to welcome the Emily in Paris crew into our Crazy Horse Paris home. The team was fantastic, and we got to work with Ashley Park! She was amazing: she came in and did the choreography with us like a true professional dancer. And of course, it’s a bit special seeing your own name pass by in the credits on Netflix!"
Psykko Tico, Deputy creative director : "To create the choreography, my ambition was to work on the interaction between the characters on stage, to make their actions easily recognizable, because I know that part of the the scenes can be easily cut in post-production. But, above all, I wanted to recreate the unique and recognizable atmosphere of Crazy Horse Paris, by relying on the gestures, the visuals, the attitude and the acting."
To perfect this number, Kyle Hanagami, choreographer of Blackpink and Jennifer Lopez, went to Crazy Horse Paris to work on this sequence with Ashley Park.

After the auditions, where they were chosen from hundreds of applicants, these new recruits began a demanding and rigorous formation under the expert eye of Svetlana Konstatinova, Stage and Production Director. Steps and movements are to be executed in unison, gestures precise but generous, the backs arching and the démarche powerful and strong... nothing is left to chance during the integration process.
The last step before taking the stage: learning how to apply make-up to sublimate the Crazy Girl's final look with smoky-eyes and perfectly red lips.
It's a Crazy tradition to give the new dancers Crazy stage names on the evening of their first public appearance. An unforgettable moment full of emotions that marks the recruits' entry into the legendary cast.

Crazy Horse Paris is honored to be the subject of Alaïa’s first Dialogue, a new series of artistic and cultural projects directed by its Creative Director Pieter Mulier.
In 1979 Azzedine Alaïa created stage costumes for the dancers of Crazy Horse Paris. Outfits that were made to be quickly put on and taken off, as the constraints of the show require. It is at Crazy Horse Paris that Azzedine also learned and understood the woman’s body. And how to amplify its beauty.
In the courtyard of the AlaĂŻa premises in Paris, stands “The Breast” molded on a Crazy Horse Paris dancer by CĂ©sar, a close friend to Azzedine and Crazy Horse Paris.Â
It was the synchronicity of these things that made Crazy Horse Paris an evident choice for Pieter Mulier.Â
Sam Rock photographed, on its stage and in its backstage area, eleven of its dancers: Nini Pompei, Sake Spotlight, Echo Paradox, Frida Whirlwind, Sassy Ă la Mode, Prima Analytic, Aqua Marine, Zitta Zurbaghan, Pixelle Canon, Margaux Lachapelle, Yuzu Azenor.Â
Through Sam’s lens, the eleven dancers lined up, in their eleven dresses of eleven different colors, make up for an almost cinematographic moment. Somewhere between reality and fiction. A dream, maybe. The row of colors creates a rhythm, a musicality, a movement.Â
Because AlaĂŻa, as Crazy Horse Paris, is, above all, a house in motion.

Today, the mythical Parisian cabaret is once again creating a surprise by inviting Violet Chachki, the most glamorous of alldrag queens, to perform on its iconic stage for 10 exclusive shows from June 24 to 28, 2024.
After the queen of burlesque Dita Von Teese, the bionic showgirl Viktoria Modesta, the K-Pop icon Lisa of Blackpink, it is the turn of Violet Chachki, a legendary figure of the drag community, to slip amongst the famous Crazy Girls, for a series of exceptional shows.
Violet Chachki is a versatile artist and performer from the southern United States. Famous for winning the seventh season of RuPaul's Drag Race, she was propelled to the rank of superstar of the international drag scene. Renowned for her confidence, impeccable fashion sense and acrobatic and dancing skills, Violet Chachki will be the very first male bodied showgirl to perform the most iconic acts of the show "Totally Crazy", such as Attitude, Lay Laser Lay, Scanner or You Turn Me On, inevitably adding her personal and unique touch.
"Performing on the Crazy Horse Paris stage is a dream come true. By stepping into the shoes of a Crazy Girl, I want to celebrate the essence of the divine feminine and pay homage in my own way to this place and to these incredible dancers, who have deeply inspired me since I first I attended a Crazy show nine years ago" explains Violet Chachki.
With this new project, the innovative creative direction of Crazy Horse Paris, which since 2006 has restored the Parisian cabaret to its former glory, defies conventions and blurs the boundaries between genres, demonstrating that performance, elegance, and art have no limits. By welcoming Violet Chachki to its prestigious stage, the cabaret celebrates unity in diversity.
"Ever since I first met Violet Chachki in 2015, I knew I was going to invite her to be a Guest Star. I am proud that today this project is finally coming to fruition. The performances of Violet Chachki, a symbol of another type of femininity, will amplify the free expression of sensuality and femininity, which we stage every day at Crazy Horse Paris," adds Andrée Deissenberg, Chief Creative and Brand Officer.
Famous for its sophisticated shows combining art, music, dance and fashion, Crazy Horse Paris shines with its originality and avant-gardism. With a creative direction in perpetual movement and an artistic vision that defies conventions, the Parisian cabaret embodies absolute aestheticism and undeniable modernity.
The dancers – or "Crazy Girls" – true stars of the cabaret, dressed in light and projections, captivate with their confidence and their strong stage presence.
The unique values of Crazy Horse Paris are now available in a range of merchandise that reflects the spirit of the cabaret, combining a cultural institution with a lifestyle brand.
Just in time for the end-of-year festivities, from December 7th, fans will be able to immerse themselves in the world of Crazy Horse Paris, and treat themselves, or their loved ones, to a variety of items that will add a touch of glamour and folly to their lives.
The elegance, crazyness and charm of Crazy Horse Paris are now within everyone's reach!
Olivia, originally from Australia, is now known as Cookie Cupcake. She loves all things camp but also sweets and candy, and always takes things in stride. With a strong yet gentle personality, Cookie calls herself a “neurodivergent” with a real desire to set Crazy Horse Paris’ stage alight.
Alora-Rose, an American originally from New York, is holistic in her approach to life and very attached to land and nature. Her stage name is Alma Lakota. Alma refers to the nourishing earth, but also to Alma Marceau, the Parisian neighborhood that is home to the cabaret. As for Lakota, it refers to the American Indian tribe to which the Chief Crazy Horse, who gave his name to the cabaret, belonged. Lakota also means “friend” in Navajo.
Lisa, international K-Pop star and member of the iconic group Blackpink, will perform in the show "Totally Crazy" for five exclusive performances on September 28, 29 and 30.
Known for her captivating performances, Lisa, rapper, singer and dancer, fascinates generations the world over.

To complete her "Crazy Girl" transformation, Lisa will wear the show's usual costumes, while adding a personal touch.
17 years ago, Dita Von Teese, followed by other inspiring female artists, was the first Guest Star, for whom specific numbers were created.
This time, the perspective is reversed, as Lisa performs original numbers from the cabaret’s repertoire alongside the cast of "Crazy Girls".
Legendary Crazy Horse Paris is showcasing their sweeter side this summer with a collaboration that turns up the heat on a refreshing cool drink! To add a touch of dazzle and pizzazz to hot summer days and nights, Paris’ most renowned cabaret, Crazy Horse Paris, and the exclusive Domaine de la Périnade winery have teamed up to create a unique rosé collection.
The limited-edition will be available exclusively from May 1 to September 30, 2023 and can be purchased one bottle at a time or the entire colorful “cast” of six all at once, at Crazy Horse Paris’ boutique. It can also be enjoyed during the show, where the wine will titillate the guests’  tastebuds and awaken their senses as they plunge into the stunning universe of the show Totally Crazy!.
An exceptional vintage demands an exceptional bottle! The Crazy Horse Paris x La PĂ©rinade bottles come in six bright and zesty colors, featuring the iconic wigs worn by the dancers, which the cabaret has been famous for over 70 years.
The 2022 vintage rosé is 100% Grenache Noir. Thanks to the sandy soil of the Domaine de Perinade, the wine has a complex yet elegant character. Its tint is pale, clear and crystalline with hints of blue, and channels the aromas of white peach, pomegranate, and citrus with hints of licorice and pepper. Crisp yet velvety, the finish is smooth and fruity.
“This collaboration with the Domaine de La Périnade is a true love story. Here at Crazy Horse Paris, we love to discover new talent… you might say we have a nose for beautiful and extraordinary stories!” explains Andrée Deissenberg, Chief Creative and Brand Officer at Crazy Horse Paris.
“We are proud of our Crazy Horse Paris x La Périnade vintage: it’s the labor of love, that started as a dream. With Crazy Horse Paris, we share a passion for quality, an attention to detail and of course, a touch of Crazy’ness!
The adventure began by selecting specific vines within our Grenache Noir vineyards, that were chosen based on the quality of the soil and the grapes.
We harvested at peak ripeness and followed an extremely demanding blending process under the supervision of our oenologist, and with the participation of several sommeliers that are friends of the Domaine. As a result, we created a beautiful vintage that best represents what we at the Domaine de la Périnade live to create.” adds Stéphane Arnal, owner of the Domaine de la Périnade.
To indulge in the pleasure of the senses, the rosé from the collaboration between these two ambassadors of the French “art the vivre” will be on available as part of the special “Crazy Collection” offer, that includes tickets to the show and a bottle of rosé for two.
A range of Crazy merchandise featuring the wigs’ design and bright colors will be on sale at the cabaret’s boutique.
Lastly, to celebrate the launch of the Crazy Horse Paris x Domaine de la Périnade limited-edition rosé, an Instagram filter will give everyone a chance to try on the iconic wigs, for a Totally Crazy look, making it the first cabaret in the world to have an Instagram filter.
75cl bottle : €25, can be purchased at Crazy Horse Paris’ boutique.
The “Crazy Collection” offer, including tickets to the show “Totally Crazy” and a bottle of rosé: €135 per person.
The Domaine de la PĂ©rinade was founded in 1830s. Located next to Carcassonne between the Canal du Midi and the Fresquel river, the 50-hectare domain covers 17 hectares of vineyards. Currently owned and operated by the 6th generation of the Arnal family, the focus on the Domaine de la PĂ©rinade has shifted to two key values: quality and the environment.
Quality: Almost everything has changed, from harvest size and method to the creation of a private cellar and arrival of a talented oenologist, Mr. Claude Serra. Only 20-30,000 bottles are produced a year. They are the result of a rigorous and uncompromising selection process from the vine through to the blending process.
Environment: The domain was transitioned to High Environmental Value (Haute Valeur Environnementale, HVE) standards to ensure that operations are as environmentally friendly as possible. The Domain has been officially HVE certified since 2021.
With these innovations, the Domaine produces exceptional vintages that showcase its unique terroir. A number of loyal prestigious clients have become the Domaine’s best ambassadors, from Crazy Horse Paris to Pouliche, the Café de Luce by Amandine Chaignot, Akrame Benallal and the famous Maison Lucas Carton.

Crazy Horse Paris and LIVY are a match made in heaven. Both houses shake the very foundations of their traditional artistic codes, by showcasing independent and self-confident women. This collaboration came to be by merging their rich artistic legacies and visionary inventiveness. Women, the undeniable muses from which both houses draw their inspiration, are the body and soul of this exclusive collection. “When I created LIVY, Crazy Horse Paris and its one-of-a-kind shows were an important source of inspiration. The celebration of a confident femininity, the way the fabric and the movements of the female body combine and how they relate, the extraordinary play of visual illusions… All elements I seek in my own creations. Designing this collection was a dream come true. I imagined designs that could be worn by both the Crazy Girls and also by all women who want to feel independent, alive and proud.”

The Crazy Horse Paris, famed house of creation, is always on the lookout for new talents. We are overjoyed to announce the addition of four new dancers to our troupe. Please give them a very warm welcome!
Finding the rare gem takes time and persistence. Paris, Nice and Berlin: our artistic team travels far and wide in the hopes of finding new diamonds in the rough, just waiting to shine on the Crazy Horse Paris stage.
Criteria, such as a strong technical background in dancing or height, are essential. But it’s mainly charisma, that undefinable "je ne sais quoi” and which makes all the difference during the performances, which the recruiters are looking for. Incidentally, did you know that the required height to dance on the Crazy Horse stage (between 1m68 and 1m73) is directly linked to the stage’s size? The latter being a mere 2m high!
Do you, too, want to be a part of the most chic of all Parisian dance troupes? The Crazy Horse Paris will be auditioning again in early September 2022 (by invitation only). Click here for more information.
The troupe is expanding with the arrival of 4 new dancers from the four corners of the world: Guadeloupe, Dominican Republic, the Netherlands and Australia. On the 18th and 19th of August, after several weeks of intensive training, they took their first steps on stage.
As tradition demands it, they were given their stage names on the eve of their first public appearance. An emotionally charged moment they shared with the other dancers and which marked the true welcoming of these recruits into the house. It’s with emotion that Nini Pompéi, Paz Picaflor, Frida Whirlwind and Ginger Knockout were given their stage names. And each name tells a story which we are going to reveal to you.
Inès, alias Nini Pompéi, was born in mainland France, but grew up at the foot of a volcano in Guadeloupe. Originally from that island, she spent her entire youth there. Passionate about archeology and Italian culture, her name suits her perfectly!
Ginger Knockout pays tribute to Valérie’s sublime red hair and her ability to knock us off our feet… in every sense of the word! Not only is she a knockout beauty, but she also intensely trains in Taekwondo.
Mary-Grace, of Australian origin, becomes Frida Whirlwind. Indeed, she is deeply inspired by the iconic Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo. Passionate about traveling and adventure, she’s just waiting to unfurl her whirlwind of happiness upon the Crazy Horse Paris.
ZucaĂŻdi is now Paz Picaflor. Excellent Samba dancer, her new name refers to her Hispanic origins and the things she values most, such as peace, hummingbirds and flowers. A colorful and sparkling personality has made her debut at the Crazy Horse Paris!
Adopting the Crazy Horse Paris codes requires rigor, time and patience. Most dancers already possess a solid foundation in classical dancing, yet very specific training is given to every new recruit upon arrival.
Body language, adapting to what’s feasible, positioning when it comes to lighting...: it’s a whole new artistic world they will have to master. Group choreographies such as Baby Buns or You Turn Me On, are an integral part of the learning process. The arched back, signature pose of the house since its creation, is a subtle art and takes time to master.
The make-up, final touch underscoring the beauty of the dancer’s appearance, is by no means neglected. The stage director, Svetlana Konstantinova, shares her secrets with the new arrivals. Her goal: to accentuate an already strong personality with bright red lips and intense eyes. Lights: the Totally Crazy! show is about to start.

24 years of collaboration, what a lovely performance! Tell us about your beginnings at Crazy Horse Paris.
Back then, Crazy Horse Paris was working with the famous wigmaker Poulain who had just retired. Sophie Bernardin was therefore looking for a successor. I simply introduced myself to her.
The first thing Sophie Bernardin asked of me was to conceive straight, bob-cut wigs of several colors, 15 in all. It’s important to note that the wigs are made of synthetic fibers and have been dyed in the mass, which reduces the amount of colors they can be made in. If the color were to be added to the wigs after they were already made, they would fade away quite quickly when washed. Yet I was still able to honor the request since the wigs were meant to be worn only for the making of the Taboo DVD and not on stage.
The first day of shooting, Sophie Bernardin said my wigs were “to die for” and that the Crazy Girls had to have them for the shows. It was a real challenge! Together with my manufacturer, I had to create a whole new fibre that could be dyed in the mass… that way I was able to make the wigs that had been asked of me.
How did you make the iconic Crazy bob yours?
Ah, that bob… do you know that in my salon they ask me for the Crazy haircut? It’s much more than a bob, it’s a true signature, a hallmark. It immediately reminds one of Crazy Horse Paris, you don’t even have to mention the cabaret’s name. It means adopting, with this mythical wig, the very DNA and values of Crazy Horse Paris. Everything is perfectly controlled and carries a vision of femininity as sublime as it is uninhibited at Crazy Horse Paris and with the wigs I create, I take part in the cabaret’s wonderfully beautiful identity.
The lengths, colors, fringes, geometry of the Crazy bob are practically unchangeable. I carry out the technical specifications with rigor, precision and passion. Sometimes, the bob takes liberties, as in the Glamazones act. That blue wig with the convex bangs and the short neckline, has also become part of Crazy Horse Paris artistic codes.
Outside of Crazy Horse Paris, how do you decline your art of the wig?
I am very proud of having created 126 wigs for a Zizi Jeanmaire revue at Casino de Paris, with costumes by Yves Saint-Laurent. I actually worked for him later on by making 50s style wigs which the famous designer found “divine”. I also produced all the wigs for the exposition dedicated to his muse, Betty Catroux, which is still being held at the Yves Saint-Laurent museum. I also make historical wigs, à la Marie-Antoinette, around 35 centimeters high!
But my wigs have also been worn by women who, due to illness, have lost their hair. I am a member of EREEL, who, with Souffle de Violette, have accompanied women who have cancer. A commitment that I take to heart and, as with the Crazy Horse Paris, do with passion.
May 19th, 1951: Alain Bernardin opens the doors to Crazy Horse Paris on the George V avenue, in the midst of the Golden Triangle, the haute couture district.
We are celebrating 71 years of dreams, audacity and creation. Crazy Horse Paris has always reinvented itself and never ceases to amaze, creativity being at the heart of everything it does.
Crazy Horse Paris was inspired by typical American saloons. Charles Aznavour made his stage debut there... Several strip acts were also performed, most notably one by the famed Miss Candida who takes a bath on stage.
From the 60s on, the artistic signature style of Crazy Horse Paris becomes ever better defined with an all-woman and multiethnic dance troupe and both mischievous and breathtaking acts, where a play of lights on the dancers’ bodies redesign and create illusions and mystery. All of Paris, as well as French and international celebrities, presidents, princes, artists and movie stars, rush to Crazy Horse Paris… the myth is born.

Tina Tobago is a dancer at Crazy Horse Paris… and an operating room nurse. We had a chat with this woman who resolutely assumes her double life with energy and charisma.
How did you come to join the famous Crazy Girls dance troupe, and why?
It was both a dream and a stroke of luck. When I was 12 or 13 years old, I saw a Christmas video of Crazy Horse Paris on television. I was instantly fascinated by the way the dancers moved, the vibe they gave off… At that age I was very sporty – I did 15 hours a week of rhythmic gymnastics, and I was a real tomboy! My feminine side was more interior, and when I saw that video, I knew that one day I would want to be a woman like those at Crazy Horse Paris.
When I was 21, I shared my dream with my partner, but I didn’t think anything would come of it. I felt that becoming a Crazy Girl was impossible, since I was a gymnast and they had training in dance or the performing arts. He nonetheless sent off my application, which came to nothing; I was disappointed but not surprised. A few years later I tried again, and this time I was offered an audition. Meanwhile I had got myself ready, I did a lot of dancing… and I joined the Crazy Girl troupe in April 2017!
How do you manage your double life as nurse and Crazy Girl?
As an operating room nurse, I can organize my time quite easily. I have my weekends off and I’m on duty three times a week, which gives me four consecutive days off. To start with I was a contract worker, so it was easy to accept jobs or not, but now I have a permanent contract so that requires more juggling.
It’s possible to successfully lead both lives simultaneously, as I like to be on the move: in the operating room I have to use my brain, and at Crazy Horse Paris I find expression in movement, through my body. They are complementary and that suits me perfectly.
What is your favorite scene, and why?
I love Jungle Fever and Lay Laser Lay. The second is the one I saw in the Christmas video when I was 13, and it was also my first solo act at Crazy Horse Paris. I like them for their slightly “wild” side, as well as their sensuality. In fact, I can’t really imagine myself playing the role of a sparkling, smiling woman; I need a rather dark form of energy to express myself through dancing, and in these scenes I can use that. The sensitivity and fragility that radiate from But I’m a good girl appeal to me enormously, but it isn’t necessarily easy for me to embody them.
In your opinion, what defines a Crazy Girl?
It takes time to become a Crazy Girl, and when you start out you don’t know what sort of Crazy Girl you’re going to become. What’s more, this persona is not fixed, it develops over the years. I would say that, for me, a Crazy Girl is at ease with herself, a confident, sensitive and sensual woman. She knows herself well enough to express her femininity, have fun with it, and radiate emotion that others can share.
Two women have been role models in my life, and have inspired me. My mother gave dancing lessons, and my grandmother was a nurse administrator. Today, I’m proud to embody both of them in my double life as Crazy Girl and nurse!
Our sparkly-eyed dancer, Bamby Splish Splash, has been fascinated by showing her artistic side in some form or other throughout her entire life. Allow us to introduce you!
How and why did you join the prestigious Crazy Horse Paris Girls troop?
I have wanted to go into drama for as long as I can remember! It was just something I knew from the day I was born. It’s more than just a fad, I’m driven. I have always loved Crazy Horse Paris due to its reputation as a luxury dance show. Crazy Horse Paris stands out from other cabaret halls, with its own unique, original and unusual style, the girls are really shown to their advantage.
It took me a while to become a Crazy Horse Paris Girl. I promised myself that when I reached the age of 18 I would try my luck, although I assumed I was unlikely to be selected. I have always taken drama and dance classes, however I don’t come from a traditional drama school, which meant that I wasn’t sure I had the right background. When I was 19, on January 1st, 2015, I finally sent my application in thinking, “I have nothing to lose”. I was lucky and a try out was organised in my home town on the next day, I took the date as a good sign and went… and I was selected! I started out with a tour in Seoul, which is a pretty unusual way to begin, before heading to the mythical Crazy Horse Paris stage for the first time about a year later.
How do you spend your time when you aren’t on stage?
I rapidly found another way to express myself, something I find essential. I had played the role of Disney princesses, and I discovered a whole new and fascinating world: pins! I started by buying some, and following pin designers on Instagram…I had a few ideas of my own, and wanted to bring them to life. I launched my own “Bamby Original” brand.
I then had the honor of designing a series of pins for Crazy Horse Paris: the iconic Crazy Girls wig in eight different colours. I started with black, blue, pink and yellow, and later added green and red, and the last two are now purple and orange.
Which is your favorite scene and why?
It is difficult to just pick one, I love Chain Gang and Lay Laser Lay. Both of these scenes give me plenty of freedom to play a role. They allow me to develop my artistry, express my inner self and the part of myself that I wish to share with the audience. The wild, almost beastly, sensuality of Lay Laser Lay is also a powerful feeling for me, something I love to merge with and express. I have only recently started to play this role, and I simply love it!
How would you describe a Crazy Girl?
I like to describe Crazy Girls using three Cs: classy, charismatic and curvy. But being a Crazy Girl is clearly much more than that! One other point is important for me, I feel that my “Crazy Girl” role and my “alter ego” are one and the same. Even though I play a role on stage, I still bring my background and my feelings to the show, I am not betraying myself in any way, this is really me. I also greatly admire women in general, particularly my aunty! She is so strong, I can but respect her… and my Crazy Girl colleagues!

After having had to close its doors for eighteen months, Crazy Horse Paris is finally back. The world’s craziest, most sophisticated and sparkling of all cabarets reopens on October 21, 2021.
To mark the occasion, the famous cabaret located on the Avenue George V, celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, has been completely redesigned and renovated.
The new lay-out, which was conceived by architect & designer Benoît Dupuis in close collaboration with Crazy Horse Paris’ artistic direction, represents the cabaret’s first major makeover in 26 years.
It pays tribute to the venue’s unique history and highlights its exceptional artistic heritage, amongst others past collaborations with some of the world’s greatest artists (César, Marcel Duchamp, David Lynch, Ellen Von Unwerth, etc.).
Starting with the completely new façade, through the soft, new curves and colors of the lobby, all the way to the theatre with its ultra glamourous “Polly Underground” bar (named after a legendary German/American dancer), the new Crazy Horse Paris rolls out the red carpet for its visitors.
The theatre, located below ground – in what used to be a series of coal cellars – offers audiences comfort and intimacy. The new layout includes 220 plush and diverse seating options, including two private alcoves, which allow patrons the opportunity to experience the show and the evening in an even more unique and original way!
New state-of-the-art sound and light systems help create a mesmerising and immersive atmosphere, dissolving the boundaries between stage and theatre.
“People come to Crazy Horse Paris to enjoy an extraordinary evening, to escape from everyday life, to dream. With this renovation, we wanted to make the experience even more dazzling and magical” explains Andrée Deissenberg, Chief Creative and Brand Officer”
“The new Crazy Horse Paris is an exceptional place that will surprise and astound. This is not a new beginning, but a rebirth,” explained Philippe Lhomme, CEO.
After several weeks of training and rehearsals, the international cast of Crazy Girls and the guest artists George Bangable and James Fenwick are eager to reunite with their audience to present the Totally Crazy show, which, in a nod to current events, will include a new quirky character: Miss Astra.
If you are just as excited at the idea of returning to dazzling evenings at the Crazy Horse Paris as we are and discovering its spectacular makeover, we will welcome you
We are looking forward to seeing you at the show!
A one-to-one with Andrée Deissenberg, Crazy Horse Paris Chief Creative & Brand Officer, on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
Since she arrived at Crazy Horse Paris in 2006, Andrée Deissenberg, born of a French father and a US mother, has made no secret of her support for feminism, even though, as she says, the term can “frighten men”. The subject is very important to her and very much a part of the continuing renewal of this wonderful institution, the Crazy Horse Paris.
How would you define today’s woman in 2022?
I see today’s woman as a mix of all the iconic figures from Sex And The City plus the power of Beyonce and the glamour of Dita Von Teese: a strong woman in control, not of men, but of her own life. A working woman, enjoying motherhood – if that’s her choice – who’s not perfect but is at ease with herself. Modern women don’t burn their bra, they use it for their own purposes. First and foremost to please themselves.
And are the Crazy Girls women of today?
Our clever lighting makes the dancers look alike, but in reality they are all very different. They come from different countries, different cultures. Just like today’s woman: complex and uninhibited, free and multi-faceted. These are strong women, they have their vulnerabilities but can choose how much they show them. In truth, just like the rest of us…
What feminist values are expressed by the Crazy Girl?
Back in the 40s, burlesque dancers were breaking a taboo by showing their naked bodies. They didn’t do it to please men but for the sheer pleasure of performing. It was an act of rebellion.
It’s different now. The artists at Crazy Horse Paris, the Crazy Girls or our “Crazy Entertainer” Lolly Wish, for example, consider themselves modern women in society, both on stage and in life.
They want to perform to their very best on this legendary stage, to an audience increasingly composed of women just as much as men (sometimes more).
Do you think women see themselves reflected in the show?
Like I said, these days women make up more than half our audience. They leave the show happy, proud to be women. The bodies are beautiful and nudity is not an issue. Women don’t have necessarily to be dancers performing on our stage to be touched by the show, it gives them confidence, they feel in some way empowered. It’s as if they are transported to another level. Crazy Horse Paris is expert at performances that exalt femininity and transcend reality, our shows are an expression of aesthetics and of art. Women always sense this, whether they’re on stage or in the audience.
Drape yourself in the red or black peignoir of the dancers and allow yourself to be caressed by the delicacy of the fabric for a deceptively casual yet glamorous attitude.
Wear the iconic Crazy Girls cut with a wig and work your impish look beneath your bangs, custom-cut by Raphael, the legendary wigmaker of Crazy Horse Paris, in his Paris salon.
Enhance your curves by dressing them in fine lingerie designed by Chantal Thomass… and let the magic begin.
And voilà ! You’re suddenly an ambassador of Crazy Horse Paris in your own home, on your private stage, in proud possession of your glamorous attitude!
The magic and glamour of the show are indelibly printed in your mind, but there’s nothing like an object for sharing or rekindling them. A t-shirt, vintage posters, champagne, cups, pins, organic cotton tote bag, coffee mug, wigs and many more products are available at the cabaret's boutique. And to make your celebrations even bubblier, why not give them that Crazy touch with the “Cuvée Crazy” champagne and its two sipping ?Your shop is open every night, from Sunday to Friday : from 6:30pm to midnight and Saturday : 6pm to 1:30 am.
