Crazy Horse Paris, a creative House that is constantly innovating
Striving to create new acts for its audience and in collaboration with its artistic teams, the cabaret has asked the renowned choreographer and stage director Philippe Decouflé to bring a brand-new act to life.
It was a Herculean task: an act featuring a new adagio, which in classical dance is a series of sweeping movements set to a slow tempo, in order to showcase the raw talent of the Crazy Horse Paris dancers. Immersive projections were to be the dancers’ sole embellishment in the purest visual tradition of the cabaret, freeing them from all other iconic cabaret accessories, such as wigs and high-heeled shoes.
A taste of what the future will be at the Crazy Horse Paris
Set to the song “Human” by artist Sevdaliza, the beauty of the projections staged by Olivier Simola combines with the act’s ultra-modern choreography to create an abstract production where the dancers are transformed into mysterious, mesmerizing and enigmatic creatures… Who are they? Are they human? One thing is certain: every audience member will be moved by “Vertiges”.
An artistic exploration by Philippe Decouflé
Here, Crazy Horse Paris returns to Philippe Decouflé’s talent and expertise. He has already created several iconic acts for the cabaret’s repertoire, including “Upside Down”, “Rougir de Désir” and “Scanner”, reinterpreted by Beyoncé in her 2013 video “Partition”.
